Dispatch, the popular adventure game developed by AdHoc Studio and released in October 2025, quickly became a huge success. Players began calling for a second season even before the final episodes were released. This call led to the highly anticipated developer response for Dispatch Season 2. The studio is taking this fan demand seriously and has officially confirmed that it is considering a new season.
What was the developer response to Dispatch Season 2?
AdHoc Studio co-founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) Pierre Shorette recently appeared on SkillUp’s podcast, The Friends Per Second. Shorette stated that following the unexpected success of Dispatch, the studio “will now have to at least consider a second season.” This statement was offered as a direct response to the overwhelming interest in Dispatch following its October 2025 release.
However, Shorette refrained from making any commitments. The team has not yet made a final decision regarding this major content innovation. The game sold over one million units in its first 10 days, making a splash for the studio founded by veterans of Telltale Games. Dispatch also holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” review score on Steam based on over 21,300 player reviews.
The production, which demonstrates the continuing interest in story-driven games, also stars Aaron Paul and Laura Bailey. Episodes 7 and 8, the game’s first season finale, will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC on November 12th. AdHoc Studio has opted to release episodes in two-packs, one week apart, for Dispatch. A week is a very short time to develop new content. This suggests that most content is already completed. Due to the length of today’s game development cycles, the likelihood of Dispatch season 2 arriving within the next few years is quite low. Even if AdHoc Studio greenlights the project, fans will have a long wait.
